Details include a landing page with registration for the zoom events, a series of emails with invitation and details for logging in to the event, and managing the Zoom platform for the events.

Eckova continues to manage and update the HARP website with its online catalog and online shopping.

The website includes the Antigonish Heritage Museum and the Heritage Association of Antigonish.  A library archive of “The Old Train Station” newsletter dating back to 2009 has a wealth of stories and historical facts about Antigonish.  Upcoming events and a live feed from the Antigonish Heritage Museum Facebook Page provide the visitor to the site with current events.  Sign up to receive their newsletter.

The website is a great finding aid for those interested in the history and culture of the area with links to research and resources.

It has been a pleasure working with the staff at the Antigonish Heritage Museum and the Heritage Association of Antigonish to develop the website for this wonderful community resource that promotes and preserves the heritage of Antigonish.

Living at Riverside Estates has made a big difference in the lives of its tenants and their families. Our Housing for Hope initiative will mean more people will have access to affordable, safe and secure housing they can be proud to live in and call home.

The film was launched at the Hearts and Hands Open House on November 25, 2016.

A year-long journey (October 2014-2015) of cross-cultural community-building and truth and reconciliation led to our creating and performing 1784: (Un)Settling Antigonish. Our community theatre production—rather, pilgrimage—performed by a cast of 30 spanning all ages, ethnicities, and levels of experience, has taught us our shared history. The documentary film has been produced to share with educators, community development workers, and all those excited about bridge-building through speaking truth to history.

The film premiered on October 21, 2016 at the Antigonish International Film Festival celebrating its 10th anniversary.

Denise Davies of Eckova Film and Media Productions was the film producer, videographer and editor. Denise remarked “The full creative team and actors together with the community supporters made this an exciting project and brought diverse members of the community to work on this collaborative search into our history. ”

In June, 2016, Destination Cape Breton Association (DCBA) hosted the Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) 2016 Conference in Cape Breton. Over 80 of the country’s top media travel writers and more than 150 industry delegates attended the conference.  Pre and Post conference tours of Cape Breton showcased the Island and its tourism destinations and experiences.

Denise commented “The conference was an amazing opportunity to network with other travel writers and destination marketing organizations.  The hosting facilities at the Membertou Convention Centre, the special events and entertainments were all very well organized and featured the best that Cape Breton has to offer.  I took part in the post-trip to explore the Mi’kmaq, Acadian and Scottish heritage sites on the west coast of Cape Breton.  There is so much to offer visitors from home and abroad.”
