In June, 2016, Destination Cape Breton Association (DCBA) hosted the Travel Media Association of Canada (TMAC) 2016 Conference in Cape Breton. Over 80 of the country’s top media travel writers and more than 150 industry delegates attended the conference.  Pre and Post conference tours of Cape Breton showcased the Island and its tourism destinations and experiences.

Denise commented “The conference was an amazing opportunity to network with other travel writers and destination marketing organizations.  The hosting facilities at the Membertou Convention Centre, the special events and entertainments were all very well organized and featured the best that Cape Breton has to offer.  I took part in the post-trip to explore the Mi’kmaq, Acadian and Scottish heritage sites on the west coast of Cape Breton.  There is so much to offer visitors from home and abroad.”
